Who We Are

Born in the South.

We are not a travel agency with motorcycles. We are riders who built a company around sharing the roads we love — and know better than anyone else.

The Road Before the Company

SudRiders started with a simple observation: the roads of Southern Italy are among the best motorcycle roads in Europe, and almost no one knows about it. The SS107 across Calabria. The SP1 through Aspromonte. The Madonie on a September morning. Roads that don't appear in motorcycle magazines, in route aggregators, or on guided tour itineraries.

We spent years riding them. We mapped them, recorded them, rode them again to verify. We identified where to stop for espresso, which agriturismi have covered parking, which mountain passes are closed in April. The knowledge accumulated before the business did.

SudRiders is the formalisation of that knowledge — packaged as tours, GPX tracks, and on-the-ground guidance for riders who want Southern Italy without the compromise of not knowing the territory.

"The South doesn't present itself. It requires you to arrive, slow down, and look. That's exactly what a motorcycle is for."

The People Behind the Routes

Davide De Caro

Founder & Lead Guide

Davide grew up in Southern Italy and has been riding its roads for over fifteen years. He designed every SudRiders route himself — riding each one multiple times before offering it to guests, adjusting waypoints, verifying fuel stops, and identifying the moments that make a stage memorable.

He speaks Italian, English and Spanish. He knows which village bar opens early, which mountain road is impassable after rain, and where to find the best pani ca meusa in Palermo.

On guided tours, Davide rides with the group. On self-drive tours, he's available on WhatsApp throughout.

How We Operate

SudRiders operates as a brand under MedeaTour, a licensed tour operator registered with the Regione Campania. This gives us the full legal infrastructure to organise and sell motorcycle tours across Italy — including insurance, assistance protocols, and guide certification.

Our fleet is owned and maintained in Catania, Sicily. Guided tours depart from Catania (Set & Asphalt) or Salerno (Parks of the South, Stupor Mundi). Self-drive packages can be activated from any starting point along the route.

What We Won't Compromise On

Routes first, logistics second. Every tour starts with the road. We identify the best asphalt, then find the accommodation nearby — not the other way around. If the best hotel is 20 km off-route, we skip it.

Small groups. Maximum 8 riders on guided tours. We've tried larger groups. The logistics work. The experience doesn't.

Local knowledge, not local clichés. We don't take you to the tourist restaurant with the English menu. We take you to the place the locals eat. Sometimes it has no sign. That's the point.

Honest grading. Every route has a difficulty rating, a daily riding time, and a surface quality note. We tell you about the SP1 Aspromonte before you get there — not when you're already on it.
